Booking a band for wedding may seem like a huge task but if a few rules are followed it can be a job with very little issues. Deciding on the type of music, selecting a few bands to listen to and picking one is basically the whole procedure.
Band For a wedding
The first step is to decide on the type of music, then get band names from online, through friends or from the wedding planner’s recommendation. Get the audio or video tape of all the bands that are interesting, watch or listen to them all and make a note of the ones that were favorable. Look at their client feedback and then choose a band and book them as soon as possible. Never pay full price up front for a band only put down a deposit and pay the balance once the gig is finished.
Contract
In the contract make sure everything is specific, the time allotted for set up, which members will attend the event, will they consume alcohol or not, what will they wear, the cancellation policy, form of payment and will they provide the equipment and lighting. After the band has performed a tip can be given, the etiquette is anywhere from 5-20%.
